A camping trip is being planned for a weekend in September to Farmdale trails in East Peoria.
Chi Alpha Sept. men's biking trip
This may include biking, hiking, hunting, fishing, campfires, camping in the wilderness, and many other things that makes men men. This is an overnight trip (Saturday - Sunday) and you will need to bring your own meat to cook over the fire and small tent to sleep in. This is being led by the discipleship leaders of Chi Alpha and is only for men to attend.

Friday, August 21st, we celebrated our first year as the church Hilltop Campus Church! The worship time led by Nick Roth was captivating, the dance by Amanda Graves had everyone clapping, the message about being a light on the hill by Pastor Kip struck a power chord, and God was palpable to this writer. Afterwards, we nourished ourselves with the conversation and full spread of cake and comestibles everyone provided and this nourishment was sufficient far into the night. The book of remembrance of the past year was revealed containing a multitude of pictures and stories of God’s work being done in our lives over the last year. You can see pictures of the night here.

Wednesdays at 4:15pm, we meet together to pray for Israel, the safety and salvation of the Jewish people, especially those who are our friends/family, peace in Jerusalem, Israel, and the middle East, that God would move in people’s hearts in this area towards His love, that our governments would make the right decisions for less bloodshed in this area, to be an informed people about the world events and seasons we’re in, what it means for “the end times” and God’s purposes in the end times, and lift up the Messiah, Yeshua.
The leaders will blog here about things they see in the news, get through emails, thoughts from books, etc… They might also post pictures, videos, thoughts or passages of Scripture to think about, or whatever is happening from week to week. We have talked about celebrating the Jewish holidays/holy-days/festivals as a means to understanding the deep symbolism and what it means to our own faith.

- Two groups will be leaving from the Chi Alpha house; the first at 10 am and the other at noon.
* Will arrive Friday around 4 pm or 6 pm
* Set up camp for Friday night
* Floating on Saturday (3-5 hour, 8 mile float)
* Leave Saturday around 5 or 6pm
- Bring $ for meals on the way there and back

We camped out at the Great Oaks campgrounds around Lacon, IL this autumn for some relaxation, high-flying, and great teaching.
